My Saturday in Chicago

Technically, I guess it was My Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning in Chicago, but whatever. Anyway, here's The Pretty City:

Sorry it's poorly framed, Nikki, but as you know, I was taking it out my front windshield while driving... so, all things considered, I don't think it's too shabby.

Okay, on to the fun. First off, I was surprised to see my friend Jessie at the Diversey el stop. Surprised, I mean, both because I was didn't expect to see her, and also because she ran up behind me and scared the beejezus out of me--made me jump and scream like a little girl. She and her hubby Andrew were also in town for a party. No, that pic to the left is not from Saturday; it's a pic of her in her awesome vampire bat costume that I stole off Andrew's site b/c I didn't have a good photo of The Jessers.

And at John's party...:

See this guy's enormous head?

Well, this is his corresponding, yet tiny, ass. We had never seen an ass so little on anyone bigger than an infant. And yet his noggin was so massive! I was perplexed as to how the boy is able to stand upright without toppling over--seems like he might be a bit top heavy.

Here Johnny and I are laughing manically over the way his gingerbread man is dying such a slow and lingering death--JB evily ate the limbs first instead of being kind and going straight for the head. Bwahahahaaaa!

Or...maybe we're just drunk dorks or something.

Here is another poor victim. As you can see, he's crying out of terror.

And this is Kenney, aka Mixmaster K, or as he prefers to be called, Mixologist Marlatt. Kenney and I came up with a fantastic new beverage. We care calling it a Ginger Sunkiss because of its lovely sunsetty pink color (and the fact that it has ginger ale in it), or apparently in some circles it could also be referred to as "Christmas Miracle 3" or some such nonsense. Take your pick.

If you'd like to recreate it for yourself, it contains mandarin vodka, cranberry juice, ginger ale, and a splash of apple pucker. (Oh yes--you heard me right. It totally MAKES the drink!) Garnish with a slice of lemon and/or lime. Feel your holiday spirits rise with each sip!

The more important question about the tiny assed, enormous headed guy is why he was wearing so many buckles . . . I know, I know, the shirt was "from New York" - as if that's a logical explanation to give anyone when they ask you what's with all the buckles!

Fun times at the party!
